Freaking mopping.

3 am.

3 am at my house means I'm up feeding baby while everyone else sleeps. Sometimes it makes me angry for Richard to get to sleep while I nurse Emma, but usually I'm just proud of myself for making it this long. She's almost 2 months now. Especially since her late afternoon/evening feeding is so rough. Tonight I am happy. Richards mom made these whale booties for Emma. They're pretty amazing. She also made that puppy blanket. {love how sweet liv is with Emma. I knew addi and braden would be, but the way liv is with her has been a great surprise.}

Rain.

It's a rainy weekend and were loving it. We're hang out in jammas all day long. {addi and liv enjoying the rain complete with messy hair and a soggy diaper}

Apnea monitor.

We had Emma's follow up appt today with dr Thomas (the pulmonologist). He said everything looks great and she doesn't have to wear her monitor anymore! He also said he was impressed with how much we used it. He said "I can't believe you made it until the 18th!" We used it until the 23rd so the last 5 days didn't show up. Weird. We are so glad to be putting all of that behind us! We love our little Emma boo so much!

Balance.

This evening started off great. I was nursing Emma on my bed listening to the other three playing happily out back. I couldn't help but smile thinking how smooth everything was going. I planned on making dinner as soon as Emma was done but she had other plans. Sometimes in the evenings she gets really fussy. She acts hungry but won't eat and just screams. She decided she was not happy and the screaming started. She finally passed out in my arms while I rocked her but I'm scared to put her down. I'm trying to balance taking care of four kids and housework and cooking but it's hard. We'll figure it out eventually but for now a messy house and fast food will work.

Party of six.

Mondays are dance days for the girls. It's my favorite day. I love dressing them up. It was mlk day today so we had Braden with us. After dance we grabbed lunch and went to the park with friends for a few hours. Braden is amazing with the girls. He has his moments but for the most part he's so good with them. After the park we came home and relaxed for a bit and then went to dinner. It was our first time out to dinner as a family of six. No fits were thrown! Now all the kids (except emma whom im nursing) are in bed. I'm so great full for my family. They are my whole world.

Looking up.

These past 7 weeks have been nuts. We've spent more time at the doctors office than at home. We've had every sickness going around. All three girls have been up all night every night and even Braden woke up needing medicine a few times. Things are looking up though. We're almost all healthy now, liv has a little cough left but that's it. Everyone's finally sleeping and even Emma has slept 6 hours in a row 3 different times! If only I had a maid ;).

Bravery.

Having four kids is a lot, especially because three of them are three and under. Taking them all out alone is all about bravery. We've been so cooped up the past almost 7 weeks with all the sickness going around our house so i decided I'd take them to the park after school. It went great! The park was kind of busy but the girls stayed together and close to me. When it was time to leave there weren't any fits. I was carrying liv and pushing Emma in the stroller. Addi wanted to help push Emma so she grabbed on. I went to put Liv down and addi thought she'd hang on the stroller. She tipped it over dumping Emma out (she was in her cars eat strapped in, luckily) and hitting her own head on the ground. They were both bawling hysterically and liv went running. Braden had to chase after liv while I scraped the girls off the ground. Needless to say we won't be braving the park alone for a bit.

misc.

we went to disney with friends oct. 2012. it was really hot. i was really pregnant. addi had her first field trip. cutest thing ever. pumpkin patch. i was a whale. braden did baseball. he loved it and will be signing up again next season. liv started dance. halloween,thanksgiving and christmas happened. and my babe turned 30! 2012 was a great year for us and i have a feeling 2013 will be even better.

two.

olivia turned two in november. she had a petting zoo birthday bash. i got the flu the night before her party and had to miss it, but she had fun and thats what matters. she is the most crazy, spunky, hilarious, gorgeous 2 year old i know.
