braden started 3rd grade today!!! a couple things about braden: -he hates having his picture taken. like runs from the camera kind of hate. -he has 4 chores: 1.clean his room 2.feed and water the dog 3.clean the living room 4.pick up dog poo, he throws fits about all his chores and is certain that hes the only kid on earth doing chores. -he is the biggest help with the girls. im gonna miss my helper while hes off learning new things. -he likes girls already and has since pre-school. the most recent was kendall but shes not in his class this year so im sure that will change. -hes skin and bones but eats triple what i eat. -favorite food:chicken alfredo with penne noodles and veggies. -favorite snack:cheeze-its dipped in peanut butter. -favorite drink:a tie between water and dr pepper. -braden has the best imagination and is always building something. -legos are his favorite pass time. happy first day of 3rd grade braden!! i love you more than you ever say!!

today is addi's birthday. she's 2! she is the sweetest, smartest, most gorgeous little girl. i asked her old how old she is today and she responded with, "peace!!" so funny! love her so much!

saturday the 2nd we went to a bbq at my cousin jens. swimming, food and family doesnt get any better than that :). the girls festive blue toes. i made these to bring. they were so good! (i found them on pinterest) sunday the 3rd we headed out to the lake. on the way we stopped to get gas and my babe drove away with the gas pump still in the tank! braden was so scared to ride but then loved it. he also had a rock shop on the beach. which reminds me i owe him 10 cents ;). monday the 4th we went to richards moms to eat, hang out and watch fireworks. my sis-in-law made the girls little red, white and blue tutus. i didnt get a picture of liv in hers. playing wiffle ball. ummm... we had a fabulous fourth!

seaworld. our last day of vaca we went to seaworld! braden was mesmerized by the sharks. he could've stayed in that shark tunnel all day. we watched the dolphin show and the shamu show. addi slept through shamu which we were thankful for because during the dolphin show she was trying to run around on the bleachers. frozen lemonade treats. it was so hot. getting ready to go through the shark tunnel. 4D sesame street. i thought addi would love it and braden would be bored but it was the opposite! passed out during shamu. addi woke up in time to see the "fishies" in the lower part. braden got his face painted and then went on a water roller coaster and it washed off. while the boys went on the water ride me and addi shopped and played. new shoes. the boys are in the last row. you can't miss 'em with bradens green face. we had so much fun, but were so excited to get home to liv. we all missed that girlie!

disney day 2 was so crowded! it was a saturday we should've known! addi was such a daddy's girl the whole trip. this is me trying to hold her to give richards arms a rest.. she was NOT having it! the rockets (addis fave) i love how addi is looking at braden like "that is not how you play princesses!" shes not curtsying in this pic. shes trying to rip off her very over-priced princess dress. toon town jail. knock, knock! relaxing with daddys phone in the hotel after a long day.

disney! i was worried about how addi would do but she was so good! she even napped in the stroller for awhile. the kids loved it. the rides, the characters, balloons, snacks and so much more. richard took braden on some big kid rides while me and addi waited in the LONG princess line. she touched the poor guy in front of us the whole time we were in line because he was wearing an orange and she liked it. when it was finally our turn she didnt want anything to do with the princesses! bradens fave rides were the haunted mansion and space mountain, which by the way is too scary for me now! and addi loved the rockets!

my babies heads are always huge! :)
shes eating, and loving, baby food. she rolls over, scoots backward, can almost sit up on her own, says dada when shes blabbing ;), is the sweetest, happiest baby, puts everything in her mouth, especially her feetsies! she lights up when she sees braden or addison. she loves lady (our dog). she goes to bed at 7, gets up at 3 for a bottle then back to bed until 6. we love her so much and our family would not be complete without her. (poor thing had to get shots yesterday :( .. aaand addi is sick so i had 2 sad girlies)

we had so much fun on our family vaca. we left olivia with my mom and my friend kim because we knew she wasnt old enough to have fun at disney yet. ;) aaand we wanted to catch up on some sleep. the first day we hung out at the beach. the kids loved it. the water was freezing i dont know how they got all the way in! bradens homework assignment was to write his name in cursive in the sand. addison was so funny with her little poses. we need to take them back asap. that night we ate at the hotel and just relaxed as a fam. it was perfect.

me and the girlies participated in this years 1 day without shoes by TOMS. it was a real eye opener. all i could think about was how awful it would be to not be able to provide shoes for your child. as a mother i cannot imagine. we ordered ourselves some TOMS shortly after that day and im. in. love. i told braden all about them and how they give a child in need a pair for every pair thats sold. he picked red. we told him they were out and are surprising him for his birthday. :) i cant wait!

we took the kids to bradens school carnival a few weeks back. i always loved stuff like that growing up so i make sure we go. this year i thought it'd be even more fun because they were having a petting zoo and addison is loving animals right now. wrong! braden had fun for about 5 mins and addison wanted nothing to do with it. she'd pet the animals through the fence but wouldn't go in and she jumped in the bouncy castle for less than a minute. oh and richard doesn't like crowds of people... well i had fun, thats what matters right?! braden waiting to catch addison almost there.. and last minute he moves out of the way and addison face plants.. haha he said she was coming at him too fast!

every year for halloween we go trick-or-treating and grama julies. she does her front yard so fun and the kids love it ( i didnt get any pics of it :( )! its so fun making traditions with my little family! we hung out at my moms in the day carving pumpkins, jumping on the tramp, and dressing up in our costumes. ps. im aware braden is doing the peace sign in almost every pic. hes addicted ;)

for october break we headed to mexico with the fam! i was huge preg but it was a blast. bradens been before and loves it! it was addisons 1st time and she never wanted to leave the beach! she did so good on the long car rides to and from. braden got pretty good on the boogie board addison loves her uncles! my baby girl braden and max helping addison :)

braden started soccer a few weeks back and absolutely loves it! he has practice every thurs and games every sat. he really looks forward to it each week. i love how much he loves it. him and his dad get up every sat morning and practice. its so cute. i love that theyre getting one on one time. i think finding something that is just about him has also helped with the fact that were so busy with the girls right now. braden and max are on the same team. addison has fun watching the games and looking for b out on the field. after the games we head to peter piper pizza with the fam! its always a blast!! i took my little girlies to the doc today! addison hadnt been since she was 9 months and liv is almost a month late on hers! oops :) both girls are doin great. liv is 10 lbs and 23 in. both in the 50th percentile and addison is 23 lbs and 32 in. her weight is 25th percent and height 75th. addison had to get shots and screamed for her daddy the whole time. it was awful, but she bounced right back to her happy self afterward.

i cant believe how big my little boy is. he'll be 8 years old in four short months. lately i feel like hes not getting enough attention because of how busy i am with the babies. it makes me sad. luckily his bff, tristan, lives 4 houses down and has been over to play most of christmas vacation. i love my little bub so much and cant wait until i have a routine set with the babes so i have more time for everyone. right now everythings pretty crazy!

oh my goodness was it crazy! so monday i had a doctors appt and was dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced. she stripped my membranes and told me if it was going to work it'd be within the next 48 hours. i came home and thought about packing my hospital bag... but didn't because i still had two weeks and both braden and addison were the full 40 weeks or more! richard got off pretty early so we asked my mom to babysit the kids while we went to the movies. we knew it'd be tough to go out once we had 3 kiddos! ;) i showered and didn't shave my legs...again because i had two weeks left, and why else would you shave when your huge pregnant! so we went to the movies and saw due date oddly enough. when we got home we watched the video of my hub being hypnotized (super funny) with my mom and brother. it ended at about midnight so we headed to bed. i fell asleep but woke up for the next hour with some contractions so i decided to start timing them. i got my phone and they were every 10 to 12 minutes and not intense at all. that went on for a couple hours. then at about 3 they were getting really bad and every 4 minutes so i got up to pack my bags. now a few weeks before this we moved into my moms because our house sold and we hadn't bought a new one yet. me, richard and addison were all in one room with all of our and olivias stuff shoved in one small closet! so needless to say the bag packing took some time. oh and the hard contracting every 4 minutes or less didn't help! so at 5 we woke up my mom and by 515 we were headed to the hospital. we live 45 minutes away and by now I'm contracting every 1 to 2 minutes! brutal car ride!! the whole way i kept telling myself i just have to survive this car ride then i can get my epidural AS SOON as i get there! we got there at 6 did the whole paperwork that feels like an eternity but really is like 3 minutes thing. while changing into my gown in triage i had 5 major contractions so the nurse checked me immediately. i was at an 8. i asked/begged for my epidural as i was wheeled to a labor and delivery room. in the l&d room nurses ran around doing iv's, taking blood and asking questions. i was told it was too late for an epidural. there may or may not have been some curse words said... im not a baby or anything i had braden natural but when youre prepared for it its easier.. kind of. anyways 20 minutes after arriving at the hospital olivia was here! there was lots of screaming and no doctor in the room but we made it! little livvy was born at 630 am on tuesday the 23rd. i still cant believe how crazy fast it was and how i was 20 minutes away from delivering in the car!

braden had his first trip to the dentist today. i know im a bad mom for waiting this long! he has no cavities!! i dont think ive ever gone to the dentist and not had atleast one. after the girl finished cleaning his teeth she told him to pick 2 prizes out of the box. he picked a spiderman sticker for himself and a little toy for addison. i thought that was so sweet of him to think of getting something for his baby sister! he loves her so much!

my little babe turned 1! shes running all around and thinks shes a big kid now! she ate her cake without really using her hands and got it in her nose. she was not happy about it! we took b camping before school started. he was loving his slingshot. he only got to ride his quad for a few minutes until it broke down :( braden went back to school. walking to class with max. addison carries around babies all day long and screams baby if we see any. she is going to be all in her baby sisters business! we went swimming at aunt cams. braden teaching addison about sidewalk chalk. fwew we had a busy august!

we decided to give braden 1 hour of video gaming a day in the summer. its working well he plays his hour and then doesn't beg to play all day (i'm very surprised, he eats, breathes and dreams about lego batman lately). little miss has been the hardest baby. shes getting all of her molars at once and its been brutal to say the least. the top two are finally in but the bottom two are huge lumps under her gums. the poor babe has been miserable and the only thing that keeps her happy is going to the pool. she is already so sassy! when shes doing something shes not supposed to ill tell her no and shell look right at me, smile the biggest smile and do it again! she can stand up now with out holding onto anything but when she realizes it she sits down. she claps, tries to sing, dances, throws tantrums, gets into everything, picks her nose and says shit (i wonder where she learned the last two?!)! braden is so helpful with her. and they already have so much fun together. its so fun to watch them play. braden is also helping so much with house chores. he puts his clothes away, wipes the table, dusts, and even helps me with dishes. hes at the perfect age because he still thinks its fun. ;) b finally learned how to ride his bike! he just did NOT want to. he also learned to do a front flip on the trampoline and is very proud.

things have been super busy around here lately! i still need to post about my little guy turning 7 almost 3 weeks ago..i can't believe hes already 7 years old thats crazy! at bradens birthday party we had up a huge water slide. the kids had a blast then they all came in for cake and presents. after all that they went back out and aaron my 10 year old little brother went to jump on ,for the first time, hit wrong and broke his femur! poor guy was in the hospital for almost a week. he had surgery where the put a rod and pin to hold it straight (theyre leaving the rod in). when he got out my mom had to go back to school so i had to go over there every day to help him go to the bathroom and feed him and all that business. it was madness with a fussy baby (she only likes to nap at home) and aaron who couldnt do anything by himself (he was really thankful that i was there with him though and told me often). then the next week the hub hurt himself at work and i had to do everything for him along with taking care of addison. all this has made me super nervous for when the new babe arrives in december. it was really hard taking care of 2 people who fully depended on me. AND my mom starts nursing school in january so she wont be around to help YIKES!! (ill be taking volunteers :))...ps yes the hub did insist on playing on the water slide with the kids and he may or may not have been called "the hairy man" by a mr bronson hall ;)

last night me, braden, and addison were jumping on the trampoline.. well braden was jumping and i was standing on it holding addison who thinks its so funny when we bounce just a little. braden was trying to jump high but couldn't because of "all the extra weight on the trampoline"! i said "WHAT?! what do you me ALL the extra weight?!" then he said through giggles that he meant because i was holding addison! then he said when i am holding addison i probably weigh "like 105 lbs.!" i replied "you are exactly right!" :)) ...later when i told richard he laughed a little too hard...

we got the kids all ready in their green and dropped them off at grama's house! we did some shopping, ate at black angus, and saw a movie. a much needed date night.

my new purse we bought when we were shoppin'! it's giant and i love it!

oh p.s. addison said braden plain as day on st patty's day morn! we were down stairs and braden went up stairs to brush his teeth. addison looked up directly at the stairs and yelled braaaayyeeehh! she was calling for him and it was the cutest thing i have ever seen!!! she hasn't said it since though.

8 months

can't believe my baby is already 8 months! addi is eating baby food most of the time now. she is FINALLY on a pretty set schedule. she takes two naps and usually falls asleep in the car. she's sitting up now and looks like such a big girl! at her doctors appt the other day she weighed 17 lbs. 15 oz. (25%) and was 27 1/2 in (75%). the doc also informed me that addison has a rather large head! :) she said that since she is hitting all of her milestones it shouldn't be an issue..good cuz i didn't want to have to put her on a fat baby head diet?! ...funny story we have 4 bedrooms in our house so the new baby will fill the last room. braden the other day said that since all the rooms will be full we can't have any more babies and that i will need to get SPAYED!!! haha we just spayed our dog so i explained what that meant. he cracks me up! also he has picked out some names for the new baby (he's hoping for a boy) cardinal, beanie wells, and steve nash...umm no, no, and no! :) ..this was the face addison made when we told her shes going to be a big sis! :)

so the other day i was changing addisons diaper and braden and i had the funniest little talk! it went like this:

me: (changing the diaper)
braden: (watching me) "what does she pee out of, her butt?!"
me: (laughing) "no she pees out of her "girl peepee" (not knowing if i should tell him the correct terminology or not???)
braden: (nonchalantly points to his "boy peepee" and shrugs his shoulders) "oh, these are better"

yesterday started off with me getting up at 6am to do a workout video! from now on i will be doing it later in the day because i may or may not have sat by the toilet thinking i was going to throw up from lack of food in my bod! (memo to me: clean the down stairs toilet!) after we got b off the school we got ready to head over to my moms school for her blood drawing party. thats right my mom drew my blood (scary i know!) after we picked up braden from school we made smoothies! yum! the hub gave the babe a little taste of his and she decided it was now hers.
we ate tuna pattys for din and finished off our day with some brownie makin! hope everyone elses day was great too!

richard took braden to his first suns game! they had a blast. they went with richards friend todd and his son riley. braden and riley have so much fun playing together! the suns lost and they were in the last possible row but they loved it anyway. :))

six and a half months actually.. i was waiting until i took her to the doctor for shots to post height and weight too but i'll add it later. this girl is growing like crazy! she has such chubby little legs and dimply little buns. when shes hungry she cries bababababa now and the rest of the time mamamamama. shes such a little smarty pants! she learned that if she throws a toy on the floor mommy will pick it up and say "uh-oh" she thinks its so funny! shes very stingy with her "kissies" and "loves" youre lucky when she gives them! her FIRST tooth came in on fEbRuArY 11 (mommys bday!). she hates shoes and rubs her feet together until they come off. she pulls her headbands down into her mouth and chews on them (until i notice). she rolls over everytime shes on the floor and if you put something by her that she wants she'll try to scoot to it (especially if it is something she cant have like the remote or a cell phone!). she loves rice cereal and oatmeal mixed with fruits or veggies and she just learned how to drink from a sippy cup. she also LoVeS apple juice! she'll watch sesame street and classical baby. every night at about 830 she gets the "sleepy sillies" and scream laughs at everthing (which keeps b up way past his bedtime!) she loves being tickled and dancing. shes almost sitting up on her own. if shes in her boppy she can balance herself. she gets so excited when we pick braden up from school. they love each other so much its so sweet! braden, the other day, said to me "i love her so much i just want to squeeze and pinch her!!" (i of course told him not to do either of those!) but it was really cute. she sleeps in her crib every night and all through the night, but we have a hard time putting her down for bed. she screams the minute we walk away from the crib! shes so bratty :)) we all love her so much!

last week brought us... a flooded yard. fits from my girl. a paper to be signed from bradens teacher saying he wouldn't stop talking to emma during spelling, which brought a secret smile to daddys face. our baby girl holding her own bottle. braden reading stories to his little sister. a star student of the week. dinner at el ricos. a trip to the grocery store. long work days for the hub. hours at hobby lobby. and a possible opportunity. i love my family.

it was today. on the days that my mom has my little brothers i pick them up for school. they go to the same school as b and my moms in school right now so she cant take them.. my cars a disaster right now..ok always.. and lately halden keeps telling me i need to clean it. thanks halden i aware of this. so he mentions this to me today. AGAIN. i said to him: "i know i need to bad". then he goes: "do it today". so i say: "if i have time". he replies nonchalantly with: "what do you mean if you have time all you have to do is watch the baby?" all i have to do is watch the baby?! halden i will fight you! by the way i informed him that if he brings this to my attention again HE will be cleaning it out!...and yes i know i could have cleaned it out instead of posting this :))

addi slept in her own room last night! she did great! she refuses to go to sleep without a pillow so we usually put her to bed in our bed and then transfer her to her (pillowless) cradle. last night i tried putting a pillow in her crib and quietly removing it when she fell asleep. it worked!! normally if i put her in her crib and then try to walk out of the room she screams (like ive said before diva!). she slept through the night, i did not..i got up to check on her in there atleast 3 times.. im so proud of my big girl! :D

me and braden were doing some intense lego building just now. it was a boat. we were both searching out pieces to be the boat walls. bradens instructions were clear: they sides have to be super tall so the sharks cant get in. simple enough, right? wrong! i located the right side lengths, but as i began to piece them together our entire ship fell apart. i was saddened. braden could tell and immediately told me that it was OK, we could re-build. i said to him "you're not mad at me?" and he responded with "mad? no, just disappointed." classic.

so b went back to school today and the babe is napping..ahh peace and quiet..this was not the case this morning. i knew it was going to be a rough morning because braden has been sleeping until 1030 the past few weeks. so i got him up 20 minutes earlier to give him some time to readjust. he was not happy to say the least. he cried when i first woke him up. i handed him his clothes. he got dressed. he cried that he was cold. i gave him his robe. he cried that his head was cold. he put his jacket on (over his robe) and pulled up the hood. as we walked down the stairs for breakfast i said "yay, your 1st day back to SCHOOL!!" to try and cheer him up. he was pissed! "mom, can you NOT say that excited!" he ate with a frown. it was hard not to laugh, but i knew that would only make things worse. i made his lunch and happily dropped his grouchy butt off at school!

my poor little babe has been teething for the last couple of weeks. its been hard on all of us. i am stressed out of my mind because i cant put her down long enough to do anything. r gets home after a long day at work and takes a turn with our poor girl. b is being raised by his video games.

and addi is simply miserable. tylenol, motrin, and teething tablets are my life as of late.

christmas this year was filled with family, food, and fun! christmas eve we started off at my moms. we ate, opened presents, and hung out all morning and afternoon, then we headed out to richards moms. this year we did a gift exchange where we each bought a present and wrapped it, and then picked numbers to see who got what. it was a lot of fun! christmas morn b got up bright and early! we opened all our gifts and left for my uncle randys "redneck christmas". we all wore flannels and had a bbq. everyone looked so cute! we also stopped by R's moms again and roberts house.. busy.. busy.. this morn we got up early and went to the snow with some fam. it. was. fReEzInG. richard may have almost sonny bono-ed it into a tree sledding down head first! hes a crazy! b had so much fun until his clothes soaked all the way through and then he decided that he hates the snow and hes never going back! snow pics will be coming soon.. someone..not to name any names..cough.richard.cough..is FREAKING out because the internet is messing with his PS3ing
